PROPERTY REVIEW

The gorgeous property sits at the base of Mummy mountain in Paradise Valley and the Southwestern-Adobe style resort is an absolute desert oasis.

453 casitas make up the Camelback Inn along with tennis courts, volleyball courts, basketball courts, pitch-and-putt golf, a world renowned spa, multiple swimming pools, retail boutiques to shop from, and the Rita’s Bar and Cantina which boasts some of the best margaritas and live music in town. Huge fire pits line the patio and make for a very enchanting and relaxing place to sip a boozy drink while listening to the live musicians.

MATCHING YOUR OUTFIT TO THE HOTEL DECOR

If your aim is to match your outfits to the vibe of Camelback Inn, think southwestern, adobe, and anything that puts you in the easy-breezy frame of mine.

Athleisure and yoga pants are appropriate for all the sports activities you have access to, as well as the fact that Camelback Inn is seconds from hiking up the famous Camelback Mountain trails. Local Phoenicians use the Echo Canyon and Cholla Trailhead to train for hiking the Grand Canyon. However, don’t let Grand Canyon training intimidate you. All levels of hikers scale this mountainside and even young children are able to make the trek. Plus, the view at the top of Camelback Mountain is worth any sweaty-huffing-and-puffing it takes to climb this particular trailhead.

SPA INFORMATION

And after a day of sweaty workouts, a trip to the Camelback Inn spa would be well deserved. The spa courtyard is a peaceful gem, water fountains, wind chimes and a plethora of hummingbirds seem to dance around the entrance to the spa and the desert hills are a stone throw from the entrance  - plan to arrive at the spa with time to spare, so that you can take in the pleasant atmosphere.

The spa offers services such as the Adobe Clay Detox Wrap: This healing treatment exfoliates, nourishes and detoxifies. An aromatic conditioner is massaged into the hair and adobe clay is applied to the body to relax muscles and draw out impurities. Southwestern inspired soap and a cactus fiber cloth are used during a Vichy shower to remove the clay, followed by an application of warmed juniper and sage oils.

Or the Agave Toning Wrap: this treatment begins with a full-body exfoliation using a soothing fine grain sea salt scrub containing Vitamin E and refreshingly crisp alfalfa leaf to smooth the skin’s surface. An application of prickly pear cactus gel with extracts of ginger root, paprika, and carrageenan promotes circulation, bringing a healthy, vibrant glow to the skin and improving elasticity. A full scalp massage and gentle release of facial pressure points will further relax you. The body is then drenched with a moisturizing agave nectar oil infused with plant extracts, sandalwood, barley and amurense bark that will hydrate and plump the skin for a less wrinkled appearance.

Make sure to pack a swimsuit and sunscreen, because the spa pool is a treat everyone should indulge in, and for those that forgot to pack sunscreen and swimsuits, the spa boutique has an array of fashionable options as well as an assortment of sunscreen. To book a spa appointment call 480.596. 7040 or email phxcb_spa@marriott.com, hours of operation are DAILY -6:30AM - 6:00PM

STYLE ADVICE

Casual attire such as long maxi skirts, flat sandals, tank tops and big hats to block you from the intense Phoenix sun are all great things to pack. The restaurants on property are casual and you will find people in jeans, simple dresses and comfortable shoes. If you want to take advantage of your southwest-cowgirl side, you can easily slip into those outfits, and look perfectly in place while vacationing at Camelback Inn - think Beth Dutton and Monica from the hit TV show Yellowstone as style inspiration.

A little black dress, a blouse with your favorite designer jeans, some fashionable heels - those all would be wise items to pack, as Camelback Inn is situated near many swanky restaurants and is minutes from old town Scottsdale - the mecca of fancy nightclubs and bars. Having a fancier outfit will keep all your options open, should you want to check out Scottsdale’s chic amenities. And might we suggest a Soul Carrier clutch to polish off your outfit? Our clutches add the stylish panache to any outfit, while allowing you to carry all the essentials needed for a vacation escapade. Plus, if you need a hands free option, simply attach a strap to our clutch to turn it into a cross body while journeying about your trip.

Enjoy your stay at Camelback Inn, and may beautiful new memories be created while you take a moment to have time stand still.
