    PROPERTY REVIEW

Andaz Scottsdale is tucked away off of Scottsdale Road and Rose Lane, with stunning views of the desert landscape and mountains that make up Paradise Valley, a very wealthy and chic part of town. The resort sits on 23 acres of property and is made up of 185 private bungalows, with three pools, a spa, and multiple fine dining options.

    ARCHITECTURAL INSIGHTS

Andaz Scottsdale's design style is minimalistic while also borrowing inspiration from Frank Lloyd Wright, Paolo Solari, and the graphic designer Alexander Girad.

Wood, steel, glass and pops of brightly colored interior design features make Andaz Scottsdale the perfect backdrop for a family photo or a stylized selfie. Warm brick walls make up the lobby, with funky mid-century modern furniture and a ton of unique art.

    A FOCUS ON LOCAL ARTISTS

According design blog Archello "The identity of Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Spa is entwined with Cattle Track Arts Compound. Opened in 1936, Cattle Track fosters artists, jewelers, potters, blacksmiths, printers, and performers to craft their works in an environment that prizes collaboration and creativity. Each guestroom and suite contains original Cattle Track art and the Artists frequent the resort to create works, engage with guests, and share their stories."

In the Andaz gift shop sources most of its inventory from Cattle Track Arts Compound as well as from other local artists and vendors.

    WARP + WEFT FOOD OPTIONS

Fire pits and sweeping patios allow for a great place to put up your feet and order a cocktail from the Warp + Weft restaurant and bar, choose something delicious like the Pecan Pie Old Fashioned (bourbon, pecans, and walnut bitters) or the Odd Ball (tequila, radish, pepper and club soda). And the food offering is just as delectable with unique choices such as Za’atar Pistachio Laffa (northern bean hummus, chick peas, chili garlic oil) or the Hibiscus Beet Cured Ora King Salmon (pink peppercorn, sumac, juniper, and castelvetrano olives) as well as the Squid ink pasta, with kale ricotta filling, roasted corn, chive oil, & grana padano.

    S‍TYLE GUIDE

The fact that Andaz is tucked away from the main cross roads and the fact that each room is a private casita, all means this is the type of resort where you can truly escape from the world and have a moment of pure-calm-relaxation.

Andaz very much feels like the type of resort where a celebrity would hide out without being bombarded or bothered. This all means that the clothing you pack for your time at Andaz can be relaxing, easy to wear, and unpretentious.

If you do feel like being a fashionista, we suggest opting for Art Deco inspired pieces, wearable art jewelry, warm wood tones with a bright pop of jewel-colored accessories. Channel your thoughts to the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, the graphic designs of Alexander Girad or the artwork of Paolo Soleri to seek packing innovativeness.
